Designing Furniture - a discussion about the complex process behind the glamorous art of furniture design

Join Cliff Young Ltd. and a panel of amazing furniture designers, in a discussion about the beauty and challenges of creating new designs. On the agenda: custom pieces for unique rooms and individual lifestyles: inspiration, approach, challenges; the alchemy of transforming a color rendering into a piece of furniture responding to your standards of aesthetics, functionality, and to your client's vision. Mixing materials in custom furniture design - creating pieces that are both sleek and fun, balancing scale and the golden ratio in design; the element of "New". How important is the design process and what is the real extent of the 1% inspiration? How do you plan ahead the other 99%? Are you sitting down with your design team over your 3D drawings and address possible install challenges while still in the design development phase? When all is perfectly planned, are you ready for the unexpected?
